Anchors: types and how to choose
An anchor secures a structure in concrete, brick or stone: in a drilled hole it is either expanded mechanically or fixed with an adhesive compound. By the way they work, anchors are grouped into expansion anchors, sleeve anchors, anchor screws and chemical anchors. The TDMI catalog includes ART 9362 wedge anchors (galvanized steel, A2 and A4 stainless steel, and with the ATLANTIS special coating) and RASCOfix BLA plus and FORZEX BLA plus anchor bolts.
When choosing, consider the base material, the load, the diameter and installation depth, and the environment: A4 stainless steel is usually chosen for damp and aggressive conditions, while galvanized steel is often used in dry rooms.
